Who We Are
Jesus didn’t call us to be spectators—He called us to the mission.
Rock Church Soulard is for those who are ready to live on assignment for King Jesus, not settle for “church as usual.”
Here, you won’t just attend—you’ll be equipped. Come to hear, come to heal, and come to be trained. We value life change, authentic relationships, love, unity, and accountability. Rock Church Soulard is both a hospital for the hurting and a Kingdom command center—raising disciples and sending them out to impact the city.
Vision
Impacting Community, Making Real Disciples
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.” - Luke 4:18
Mission
Advancing the Kingdom of God through strategic outreach and effective discipleship.
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

Our Core Values
My past is not my future; I refuse to stay the same.
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
I intentionally connect with the people God places in my circle of influence.
“There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
I walk in obedience to God with a willing heart and mind.
“But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees with his reply, they met together to question him again. One of them, an expert in religious law, tried to trap him with this question: “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?” Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”
I strive to remain in full agreement with God’s will for my life - spirit, soul, and body.
“I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.”
I welcome the challenge of being held responsible for my lifestyle - words, actions, and attitudes.
“As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.”
Our Beliefs
God
We believe God is the creator and ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is God, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His death that paid for our sin through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension/rising up to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under his control daily.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is God’s word to all men. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture of error.
Humanity and Sin
We believe humanity is made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. He is the supreme object of God’s creation. Although mankind has tremendous potential for good, we believe that every person since the Fall in the Garden of Eden, is conceived with a sin nature at war with God and incapable by any human effort to fulfill His holy Law. Therefore, a person will not enter into God's presence unless born again because his fallen nature separates mankind from God.
Salvation
We believe we can have a personal relationship with God through salvation, God’s free gift to man. It is not a result of what we do, but it is only available through God’s unearned favor. By admitting we have sinned and believing in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, and accepting Him as Lord, we can spend eternity with God.
Eternity
We believe man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with him is eternal life. Heaven and hell are places of eternal existence.
Water Baptism
We believe baptism by immersion symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and is your public declaration that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord. Baptism does not save you, but shows the world that you have already been saved. And while baptism is not required for salvation, it is a biblical command and demonstrates your love and obedience to Christ.
The Great Commission
We believe that each individual believer in Christ is commanded to go into all the world, boldly proclaim the Gospel, and make disciples for the Kingdom of God.
Sexuality and Marriage
We believe God’s design for sexual intimacy is to be expressed only within the context of marriage. God instituted marriage between one man and one woman as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one man and one woman.
Christian Life and Character
We believe that Christ followers are to be faithful stewards of their entire lives and live in a manner that edifies others and glorifies God. Each person has been given unique gifts, talents and skills that must be discovered and developed for the benefit and use of furthering the Kingdom of God. As believers we are called to fully surrender and entrust our very heart and soul to the purpose and to the will of God.
