Kingdom Surrender Part 5: Longsuffering | Paztuh Mike Wuebbles
Kingdom Surrender: Longsuffering
"Whatever you do, don’t ask God for patience!
“Oh boy, I made a mistake one time and prayed for patience!”
Do these comments sound familiar?
As believers, we often joke about patience as though it’s something to avoid. But what if longsuffering is not something to fear? What if it is an important part of becoming more like Christ?
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness…”
In Lesson 5 of the Kingdom Surrender series, Paztuh Mike explores why longsuffering should not be an avoided subject. Instead, we should understand what it means, why it matters, and how God wants to develop it in our hearts and minds.
Jesus, our Savior, suffered for us long before He went to the cross. As His followers, we are also called to share in His sufferings. This probably doesn’t mean being crucified.

So how do we share in Christ’s sufferings?
What does longsuffering have to do with our daily obedience?
And why might the very thing we try to avoid be necessary for our spiritual growth?
