Milk or Meat? Your Works Will be Tested by Fire -
Are some life purposes and callings more “spiritual” and eternally “valuable” than others? Is pastoring and teaching on Sunday more important than running a business? What about stay-at-home moms and homemakers? Or those skilled in the trades? Government leaders? Accountants, doctors, lawyers, firefighters, police officers, paramedics, school teachers, etc.? The answer is…No!
In Lesson 3 of this 3-part series, “Milk or Meat?”, Paztuh Mike Wuebbles shares the great need for believers to do the will of God with the right heart. Ultimately, we are accountable for what we are called to do in this life, including our mindsets and attitudes along the way.
In 1 Corinthians 3:12-15, the Apostle Paul emphasizes to the church in Corinth that each person builds with different materials, but the foundation must be on Christ. Do you live your daily life and plan for the future based on what you want and how you want it? Do you pray, fast, and seek the Lord’s will to be done, no matter your calling and occupation? Ask yourself, am I building for "self" or for His Kingdom?
On Judgment Day, our life’s works and the heart behind them will be tested by holy fire. What we build and why we build in this life echoes in eternity.
