“And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.” Ephesians 5:21 NLT
What if following Jesus means giving up your rights—are you in?
Surrender can feel uncomfortable, especially when it involves God, other people, our circumstances, and our own will. In our culture, surrender is often seen as weakness or defeat.
But in the Kingdom of God, surrender is not losing—it’s obedience. It's strength. It’s righteous.
Jesus modeled this for us. To save humanity and conquer sin, He surrendered everything. And to truly enter and live in God’s Kingdom, we’re called to do the same—lay everything down at His feet.
In the Kingdom Surrender series, Paztuh Mike and Anna Elisabeth share honest, Scripture-based truths that lay a foundation for what it means to surrender to King Jesus in everyday life and relationships.
Kingdom surrender isn’t passive—it’s active. It looks like:
Submission
Honor
Respect
Longsuffering
So the question becomes:
Are you willing to lay down your “rights” for the sake of the Gospel?
Kingdom Surrender: Kingdom Marriage
What does the Bible say about submission?
Is it even relevant anymore?
Does it apply to husbands as well as wives?
Why do I need to submit?
And when is it actually okay not to submit?
Today, the heart motive and biblical lifestyle of submission in marriage are deeply misunderstood and, sadly, often abused. Secular culture treats the word like a curse. Religious tradition has at times twisted it into husbands dominating their wives, expecting blind compliance, whether she agrees or not. If you’re a Christian—single or married—understanding submission based on what the Bible really says is crucial.
As the Scriptures say, “And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord.” Ephesians 5:21-22 NLT
In Lesson 1 of the Kingdom Surrender series, Paztuh Mike and his wife, Anna Elisabeth, walk through a historical-biblical framework—from Genesis to the well-known Ephesians 5 passage—and then conclude with common questions and practical application.

Kingdom Surrender: Why Honor
Unfortunately, dishonor has become a normal part of American culture. From a young age, we’re often taught that honor must be earned—that it’s only given when we agree with someone or approve of their actions.
But God’s Kingdom works very differently.
As Scripture says, “Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.” (1 Peter 2:17, ESV)
Peter wrote this about Emperor Nero—the same ruler who persecuted Christians and later would have Peter himself crucified upside down. Yet the command remained the same: honor everyone.
In Lesson 2 of the Kingdom Surrender series, Paztuh Mike Wuebbles addresses a mindset that quietly holds many believers back. Without honor, we limit our ability to truly reflect Christ and reach others. In God’s Kingdom, honor isn’t conditional—it’s a posture. Honor everyone.
