Milk or Meat? Unity Sermon

Milk or Meat? Moving from Immaturity to Maturity in Christ -

In the Milk or Meat? series, Paztuh Mike Wuebbles challenges believers to grow from spiritual infancy to maturity in their faith. After salvation, many settle into a self-centered Christianity—believing God is pleased regardless of how they live—but Scripture teaches that genuine growth requires intentional obedience and spiritual discipline.

Spiritual Growth - Part 1

In Lesson 1, the focus is on recognizing personal responsibility in spiritual growth. Paul’s rebuke in 1 Corinthians 3:1–3 shows that living according to the flesh breeds pride, division, and immaturity. True maturity means choosing to follow the Holy Spirit and seeking to please God above self or culture.

Unity - Part 2

Lesson 2 confronts the problem of “Celebrity Christianity.” Believers must stop dividing over church leaders and remember that all pastors and teachers are simply servants of God, not replacements for Him. As Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 3:4–5, each one plays a role, but Christ alone is the foundation. The mature believer values unity and recognizes that every calling—from preaching to parenting to public service—has equal worth in God’s kingdom.

Your Works Will Be Tested By Fire - Part 3

Lesson 3 calls Christians to build their lives with purpose and purity of heart. In 1 Corinthians 3:12–15, Paul warns that each person’s work will be tested by fire, revealing whether it was done for self or for Christ. True maturity means doing God’s will sincerely, whatever one’s vocation, and living with eternity in mind.

Ultimately, spiritual maturity is not automatic—it’s a daily decision to move from milk to meat, from self-will to submission, and from immaturity to Christlike character.
